When looking at home gyms, you have to account for how much space you have for the best functional trainers, squat racks, lifting platforms, cardio equipment, and free weights you can find.
One other thing you need to consider is the space you’ll need for actually saving space…think about it. In home gyms, where space is a commodity, you’ll need to find ways to store equipment that isn’t being used currently: dumbbells, kettlebells, weight plates, and more.
There are plenty of great solutions when it comes to the best home gym storage, so much so that it can be a little overwhelming. But worry not, dear reader, we’ve collected some of the best picks for your home gym’s storage needs, with a variety of gym storage ideas and options to cover your home gym’s needs and space.
We Have Tons of Home Gym Know-How Stored Up
My home gym is built out for a weightlifter: a lot of open space for a layered weightlifting platform, with weight trees and plate racks to store different bumper plates for snatches, cleans, and squats. A portable squat rack sits in the corner by jerk blocks for when I need squats, and there are also a few barbell holders for storing bars.
I’m telling you this because the team at Garage Gym Reviews are not just knowledgeable about home gyms and fitness equipment; we are experienced in the world of fitness. In building our list of the best home gym storage, we looked at our own experiences, researched dozens of brands, and even reached out to our GGR Home Gym Community on Facebook to get your opinions on best storage and shelving for gyms, which led to our final picks for this list.

- Must-have for home gyms with a lot of equipment
- Constructed with 2” x 2” 11-gauge steel
- Bookshelf-style storage rack can be easily organized
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Shelves offer the perfect angle to pull the dumbbells on and off
- Can be used for dumbbells, kettlebells, exercise balls, and more
- So many options to customize perfectly for your space
- Heavy duty casters are available for added mobility
Cons
- With all of the different options, some customers found needed hardware missing from their products upon arrival
- Add-ons can add up very quickly to an already expensive core unit
Bottom Line
Anyone who has been in the fitness community for any amount of time knows that Rogue Fitness products are built to last. The price tag can be a bit intimidating, but you can always depend on the quality and craftsmanship of each piece. This is a great unit to start with and build out as you add gym space and equipment.
If you’ve got a bunch of free weights needing a home, look no further than our pick for the best mass storage system: the Rogue 3-Tier Mass Storage System. Sporting three tiers of customizable shelves, Rogue’s storage system starts off with double bars, capable of storing medicine balls and the best bumper plates. Each shelf can be switched out for a slanted shelf for dumbbells, or a flat shelf for kettlebells and other storage, for an additional charge.
The piece is modular, meaning it can be expanded upon to two or more units, depending on your needs for your garage gym. Additionally, the powder-coated 11-gauge steel will hold over 1,000 pounds, capable of holding your heaviest workout equipment.
The storage system can also be purchased with wheel add-ons, allowing for mobility, which you might need if you’re planning on rearranging your home gym any time soon. This unit is beefy, weighing in at 269 pounds before storing any weight plates, making this a pretty hefty shelf.
Some reviews have stated that the system has been shipped missing essential hardware, probably due to the customization and personalization each order can have. Rogue is known for righting wrongs through their customer service though, so if this happens to you, a quick call should get things resolved relatively smoothly.
Another thing to think about is the price of Rogue’s 3-Tier Mass Storage System. Starting at $625, this storage system is expensive, and every add-on or customization increases the price. However, with its customization capabilities, it can add value to any home gym setup; if you have the budget and floor space, this is a solid pick to get the exact storage you need for your free weights.

Best Dumbbell Rack: REP Fitness Dumbbell Rack
Good for: Those looking for a sturdy rack to store a set of fixed dumbbells
Best Dumbbell Rack
REP Dumbbell Rack
Product Highlights
- Three tiers
- Slanted shelves
- 4 color options
- Holds 5-50-lb set of hex DBs
Pros & Cons
Pros
- 5-50-lb set hex DB capacity
- 11-gauge, powder coated steel
- Slanted shelves with lip for secure storage
- 4 color options
- Zinc-coated hardware
- Free shipping
Cons
- No guarantee of compatibility with non-hex style DBs
- Standalone unit—no compatibility with other storage solutions
- No wheels
Bottom Line
The REP Dumbbell Rack is one of the best choices for storage in the home gym. From its sturdy structure to ease of use, this product is a reliable option for saving floor space and efficiently storing your dumbbells.
Unless you have a pair of adjustable dumbbells, chances are you might have several pairs of fixed dumbbells that need a place to be stored when they’re not in use. REP Fitness provides a solid solution with their dumbbell rack, a solid steel construction rated to hold up to 1,000 pounds and your heaviest dumbbells. REP backs up the durability of these shelves with a lifetime limited warranty, too.
The three slanted shelves allow for you to easily grab the dumbbell handles as you put dumbbells on and off the rack. Additionally, the dumbbell rack comes in four different colors: metallic or matte black, blue, and red. These colors are common amongst REP Fitness pieces of equipment, so it can potentially match other fitness equipment if you already have REP equipment.
The REP Dumbbell Rack is made specifically for their rubber hex dumbbells, but they do say it works for their round urethane dumbbells as well. One rack will hold 5-pound to 50-pound dumbbells, which is 10 pairs of dumbbells. So if you have larger or more dumbbells, you may need a second rack.
Because these are made with REP Dumbbells in mind, there is no guarantee they will fit non-REP dumbbells, especially if they are not rubber hex dumbbells. Additionally, this is a standalone storage unit; it’s not modular and won’t connect with other storage solutions. Still, if it is just dumbbells you are looking to store, the REP Dumbbell Rack is a solid choice for your gym space.

Cons
- Requires assembly

Bottom Line
For the price and creative design of this Commercial Interchangeable Weight Rack, we’d say this is an excellent choice for your gym. The rack looks professional, is high-quality, holds up to 1200 pounds, and elevates the look of a regular weight rack at a reasonable price.
The Bells of Steel Interchangeable Weight Rack is a fantastic choice for those needing compact storage for their dumbbells, kettlebells, and more. A low, two tiers of shelving, the flat shelves can be changed with angled shelving for dumbbells. The shelving rack is great for storing kettlebells and dumbbells, as each shelf can hold a weight up to 600 pounds, but is also ideal for medicine balls, shoes, foam rollers, and more pieces of exercise equipment.
The length of the shelving comes in three different sizes, ranging from 34 to 69 inches long, meaning it’ll fit most workout spaces just fine. It’s compatible with most weight brands, so you don’t need to worry if your dumbbells or other free weights will fit on the rack.
Reviews rave on the rack’s easy assembly and unique design. It comes with all the hardware needed as well, making putting this rack together fairly easy.
One of the biggest drawbacks to this weight rack could be its fixed height. It is only two tiers that go to 21-inches high, which isn’t very high or many shelves, if you were hoping for more storage. Also, the rack starts at $359, which is a little pricey for compact shelving. However, due to its customization options and durability, the Bells of Steel Interchangeable Weight Rack is a great option as a home gym storage rack.

Best Wall-Mounted Dumbbell Rack: PRx Wall-Mount Dumbbell Storage
Good for: Those looking for a compact solution to storing weights and saving floor space
Best Wall-Mounted Dumbbell Rack
PRx Wall-Mount Dumbbell Storage
Product Highlights
- Made in the USA
- Sleek, unique design
- Helps you make the most of small spaces
- Made with 12-gauge steel
- Versatile mounting design
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Black powdercoat gives sophisticated look to any gym setup
- 1 shelf can store multiple pairs of dumbbells (depending on weight)
- Can mount shelves either flat or angled
- Shelves can also be used to store other gym equipment, such as kettlebells or medicine balls
Cons
- Need to have proper stud spacing in order for shelves to work properly
- Shelves are a little more expensive than typical shelving units that hold similar weight
Bottom Line
If you have a small space and are needing somewhere to put your dumbbells so you can have more room to complete a workout, the Wall-Mount Dumbbell Storage shelves could be a perfect solution. Not only do you get more space in your room, but it also makes it easier to clean the floors and not worry about tripping over equipment.
If you are looking to optimize floor space over wall space for your workouts, then a wall-mounted rack or shelf may be what you’re looking for. The PRx Wall-Mount Dumbbell Storage provides a unique solution for this issue, offering heavy-duty 12-gauge steel shelving that can be mounted on your wall—flat for kettlebells and other free weights, or angled for dumbbells. Each black powder-coated shelf is 3 feet long and will look sleek holding your weights.
You can purchase up to four shelves at once, allowing for you to get the amount of shelving you need. The product is American-made, and the steel construction is rated for 1,000 pounds. However, to support that weight, the shelf will have to be installed on wall studs. The shelves are built to support studs between 8 and 30 inches apart, which should handle most homes and walls.
If your studs are spaced outside the proper range for the PRx shelving, then it simply won’t work for your home gym storage. Additionally, these are expensive shelves compared to freestanding shelving units, starting at $299 for the first wall-mounted shelf. Regardless, if it’s saving floor space that you want, these shelves will do just that. If the price is worth the floor space, the PRx Wall-Mount Dumbbell Storage has you covered.

Best Garage Gym Shelving: Gladiator 4-Tier Welded Steel Garage Storage Shelving Unit
Good for: Anyone needing a heavy-duty shelf to store a variety of gym equipment
Best Garage Gym Shelving
Gladiator 4-Tier Welded Steel Garage Storage Shelving Unit
Product Highlights
- Fast and easy to assemble
- Heavy duty steel construction
- Limited lifetime warranty
- NSF-certified for food storage
- Tool-free snap-and-lock assembly
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Available in different sizes and dimensions to perfectly fit your space
- Ability to adjust shelving depending on what you are storing
- Each shelf can support up to 2,000 lbs
- Great size and stability for all storage needs
Cons
- Wire shelves can allow small objects to fall through
- Some customers had issues with broken welds upon receiving shelving
Bottom Line
This would be a perfect shelf for garage gyms, storage units, or anywhere you need to keep large objects neat and organized. Many customers liked their storage units so much that they bought more than one unit.
When we asked the Home Gym Community on Facebook for the best garage shelving, the clear victor was the Gladiator Shelving Unit, and it’s pretty easy to understand why. This is one of the most heavy-duty storage shelves on the market, capable of holding up to 2,000 pounds per shelf. With four tiers, that’s a total of 8,000 pounds worth of storage space.
The shelf heights can be adjusted to fit your storage needs, whether for sports equipment, yoga blocks, bumper plates, or just storage bins. Additionally, the shelving unit has a snap-and-lock assembly, not needing tools for putting this together at all. At 129 pounds though, we suggest having a friend help out with assembly.
The wire shelves, while incredibly strong, aren’t the best shelving solution for smaller items, as those items can fall through the shelves to the floor. I’d suggest storing your smaller home gym equipment in a bin if you are going to store them on a shelf like this.
Some reviews spoke about the shelves coming in with broken welds. The Gladiator is covered by a lifetime limited warranty, which should cover any defective issues you may have upon delivery. This is still a great shelf, as other reviews spoke about liking them so much, that they bought multiple shelves.

Best Budget Garage Gym Shelving: Gorilla 5-Shelf Rack
Good for: Home gym owners looking for solid storage at a budget-friendly price
Best Budget Garage Gym Shelving
Gorilla 5-Shelf Rack
Product Highlights
- Solid steel frame
- Easy to assemble
- Corrosion-resistant powder coat finish
- 5-shelf unit allows you to store a lot of items
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Particle board shelves keep small objects from falling through
- Can be used for all types of storage
- Designed to be functional, efficient, and look nice with any decor
- Sleek and strong all-in-one
Cons
- Some customers had issues with products coming in rough or damaged packaging
- Can be more difficult to get pieces to go together if they have too much paint on the metal pieces
Bottom Line
This simple, yet functional shelving unit was so well-liked by most customers that, if their space allowed, they purchased more than one! It fell in between the super heavy-duty styles and the more flimsy lightweights, offering a middle ground that could be utilized in home gyms, pantries, garages, and storage rooms.
We get it; sometimes you need some home gym storage, but at a price that won’t empty your pockets. A great choice for home gym owners on a budget is the Gorilla 5-Shelf Rack. With five 4-foot-long shelves capable of holding 500 pounds, this shelf will handle most people’s storage needs, no matter how big or small—or heavy—and all under $100.
This shelving rack is nothing fancy, just some corrosion resistant, powder-coated solid steel construction with durable particle board shelves. Still, this will handle most of your equipment storage needs. Plus, the particle board shelving keeps any small pieces of equipment from falling through the cracks like wire steel shelving.
Although the assembly is pretty easy on this unit, some reviews spoke of the thicker powder coat on metal joints making some pieces difficult to fit together initially. Be aware that some sanding may be needed in worst case scenarios. I’d also note that particle boards don’t react well to moisture, so try to keep these shelves dry.
Additionally, some customers had their product arrive in damaged packaging. Regardless, at this price point, the Gorilla 5-Shelf Rack still provides great value.

Best Horizontal Barbell Storage: Rogue V2 Gun Rack
Good for: Anyone looking for solid wall storage for Olympic barbells
Best Horizontal Barbell Storage
Rogue Gun Rack
Product Highlights
- 7-gauge steel
- Horizontal storage for up to 6 barbells
- Upgrade to UHMW plastic inserts available
- Discounted 5-pack available for gym owners
- Mounting hardware not included
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Rungs are large enough to support shaft or sleeve of barbell
- Buyer has freedom of width between rack pieces
- Upgrade to UHMW plastic inserts for barbell protection
Cons
- Mounting hardware not included
- Horizontal storage requires drilling into walls
Bottom Line
The Rogue V2 Gun Rack is an updated version of an already great storage solution that gets barbells off the floor and on display.
If you’ve got several barbells to store, but you want them off the floor, Rogue’s V2 Gun Rack may be for you. Able to mount onto your wall, the Gun Rack stores up to six barbells horizontally. The rungs on the rack are large enough to support the barbell’s shaft or sleeve, which is beneficial, depending on how far your studs are along your wall.
Constructed in the USA with 7-gauge steel, this rack will hold your barbells with no difficulty. This rack is also relatively inexpensive, at $75. The V2 Gun Rack can be upgraded with UHMW plastic inserts for $120. The plastic inserts will help protect your bar from rubbing metal on metal, and help it remain the best Olympic barbell it can be. With that said, I’d recommend getting the upgraded plastic inserts to preserve your barbell’s longevity.
As it’s wall-mounted, the Rogue V2 Gun Rack will require drilling into your walls. If wall-mounting or drilling into your walls is not an option, you may need to look into a vertical bar holder. Additionally, the V2 Gun Rack does not come with the hardware needed to install the rack. If you know what tools to properly use to install this rack onto wall studs, then this is a great storage solution for barbells.

Best Vertical Barbell Storage: Titan Fitness 9 Barbell Storage Holder
Good for: Those looking for storage for multiple barbells or specialty bars
Best Vertical Barbell Storage
Titan Fitness 9-Bar Vertical Storage Rack
Product Highlights
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Space-saver
- Made from 9-gauge steel
- Holds 9 bars
- Plastic lining prevents cosmetic issues
- Welded into place on the bottom
- Provides organization for your gym
- High quality at a great price point
- 4 bottom pads making it possible to keep level on an irregular floor
Cons
- One aesthetic improvement they could make would be to provide some contrast under the cut out branding but truthfully, that is just a personal preference
- Would be difficult to store a log or larger speciality bar without impeding ability to get the other barbells out
Bottom Line
The Titan 9-Bar Vertical Storage Rack is a clear winner. Offered at an exceptional price, this compact rack offers a quality product to organize the barbells in your gym.
When you need a spot for specialty bars, or you just need vertical storage, the Titan Fitness 9 Barbell Storage Holder is a fantastic choice, allowing storage of up to nine barbells in one holder. Constructed with 9-gauge steel, it will hold and support just about any Olympic barbell with 2-inch sleeves. And at only 19-inches-by-19-inches, this barbell holder won’t use up too much floor space.
Additionally, each tube for barbell storage is lined with nylon plastic liners to protect your barbell from scratches while inserting or removing from the holder. The barbell holder is also finished with a black powder coat, and has a heavy gauge steel base to maintain stability for the barbells. Many companies provide similar barbell holders, but Titan provides a quality barbell rack at a competitive price point.
While this barbell holder will work with most specialty bars, like a curl bar or Swiss bar, larger specialty bars may impede other barbell slots from being used. It also might make it difficult to get other barbells out of the holder. With that said, at this price point, this is one of the best vertical bar holders on the market.

Best Plate Tree: REP Bar and Weight Plate Tree
Good for: Lifters needing a space-saving place to store Olympic weight plates
Best Plate Tree
REP Bar and Bumper Plate Tree
Need a space-saving rack to store plates? Like, a lot of plates? The REP Bar and Weight Plate Tree is our pick for best plate tree; only taking up 24-inches-by-24-inches of floor space, it can still store up to 850 pounds of bumper plates, as well as two tubes for barbell storage. It’s a very compact storage solution for any home gym—particularly those using a lot of bumper plates regularly.
There are a total of six weight horns on the plate tree, each with 8 inches worth of usable length. The horns can support any Olympic weight plates, and has a chrome coating to allow for the weights to slide on and off the tree easily; it also keeps a nice clean look even after constant use.
Although this is quite the space saver for your home gym, to fully use all of the barbell and plate storage, you will need to have access to each side of the plate tree. This is not a storage rack that you can place in the corner of your gym, so it will need a little bit of open floor space for proper access to your weight plates and bars. If you can fit this tree in your home gym though, it is a great way to have your bars and plates easily accessible.

Best Plate Rack: REP Horizontal Plate Rack
Good for: Weightlifters needing convenient storage of weights nearby a lifting platform
Best Plate Rack
REP Fitness Horizontal Plate Rack
Product Highlights
- 53” L X 15.75” W X 11.5” H
- 45 lbs
- Steel construction
- Able to hold Olympic bumper plates
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Easy to roll weights out of rack
- Additional barbell storage
- Handle and wheels to roll around rack
Cons
- Ideal only for using plates on the floor
Bottom Line
The REP Fitness Horizontal Plate Rack can be a solid addition to any home gym owner who needs to store bumper plates for lifting from the floor.
Coming from an Olympic weightlifting background, I’ve had plenty of experience with horizontal plate racks. Commonly used at weightlifting competitions, these typically are on either side of a lifting platform for easy access while training the Olympic lifts. Our favorite plate rack for home gyms is the REP Fitness Horizontal Plate Rack, as it provides a great place for your bumper plates, while also adding mobility features and extra storage.
At 53 inches long, the REP Fitness Plate Rack will hold a set of bumper plates pretty easily. Additionally, the rack has an ergonomic handle on one end, with wheels on the other, to pick up and wheel around if needed.
REP also fits a couple of barbell tubes at one end, allowing for more storage. Still, I’d recommend removing the bars before wheeling the plate rack around. Whether or not you should remove the bumper plates depends on your strength level; the rack itself is 45 pounds, but with a set of bumper plates will exceed 250 pounds easily.
In my opinion, this is a specialized storage rack for those who use a lifting platform and lift from the floor often. It keeps the weights near the floor for easy access. If you don’t do a lot of lifting from the floor, there are other storage options for plates that will save you more space in your home gym. Nevertheless, for any lifter who does lots of deadlifts, pulls, or snatches, this is a great choice to have by your platform.

Best for Hanging Equipment: Wall Control Pegboard
Good for: Those needing to hang chains, bands, and jump ropes in an easy-to-reach space
Best for Hanging Equipment
Wall Control Pegboard
Product Highlights
- Galvanized steel
- Rust-resistant
- 10x stronger than conventional pegboard
- Magnetic panels
Pros & Cons
Pros
- 10x stronger than conventional pegboard
- Mounts directly into studs
- 3/4” flange that separates panel surface from wall
- Accepts industry standard 1/4” pegs
- Magnetic panels
Cons
- Users have reported issues with quality control
- Does not include any accessories
Bottom Line
This galvanized pegboard from Wall Control is an affordable, extremely versatile solution to organizing your gym’s accessories and nick-nacks. Any hardware store will carry 1/4-inch pegs to help you customize your storage solution!
A pegboard can be a great use of wall space to hang up smaller, loose gym equipment: hip circles, resistance bands, jump ropes, and yoga mats, for example. Wall Control provides a pegboard that is 10 times stronger than conventional pegboard, allowing for up to 200 pounds of support from this small, 16-inch-wide pegboard—although the manufacturer only recommends a maximum weight of 50 pounds.
Commonly used for power tools and workshops, this steel pegboard installs directly into your wall studs, with three-quarter-inch flanges that separate the panel surface from the wall. The pegboard can support a variety of hooks and shelves, and is even magnetic.
This is an extremely versatile bit of wall storage for your home gym. And if it isn’t enough, just buy another pegboard from Amazon. At under $40, this is a very budget friendly bit of customizable home gym storage.
The pegboard doesn’t come with any accessories, unfortunately, so hooks and shelves will be an extra cost. Additionally, some users have left reviews speaking about issues with Wall Control’s quality control and condition of their products upon arrival. These products do have a limited lifetime warranty, however, if this does happen to you. Wall Control Pegboard is a solid choice for gym storage if you are looking for affordable and versatile options.

Other Home Gym Storage We Researched
We looked at a lot of different solutions for home gym storage. Here’s a few we liked, but didn’t quite make it onto our list:
- Titan Fitness Mass Storage System: Titan Fitness’s Mass Storage System provides options of a two-tier or three-tier shelving system, along with different length options. It’s a good budget choice, but there are storage systems for weights and home gyms with more customization.
- Sorinex Iron Bear: Easily one of the most customizable mass storage systems available, Sorinex offers this modular storage system with the ability to pick tiers suited for storing a variety of gym equipment. This is a premium, high quality product, but it has a price tag to match.
- Rogue Monster Mass Storage: This quality storage system can be built up to four tiers and extended to 100 inches long. Still, the customizations and add-ons really start to rack up the price on this storage rack.
- REP MSS Storage: This inexpensive mass storage system can be customized and expanded into multiple units. However, the storage system is currently out of stock and has limited reviews.
How We Picked and Tested
For this list of the best home gym storage solutions, we researched top brands and storage units that offered a variety of storage solutions, and then broke down the best aspects of each, such as value and amount of storage, as well as the storage unit’s own footprint. Customization was also an important factor, as each home gym is going to have its own needs.
Additionally, we talked to you, the Home Gym Community, about your preferences and favorite options for shelving and storage. Using that knowledge and research, along with our own experiences with several items, we compiled the final list before you.
Benefits of Home Gym Storage
Better storage in your home gym may not add to your maximum bench press (but maybe it will, let us know!), but there are many reasons to improve your home gym storage.
A Space-Saving Tool
Using equipment specific for storage will free up the rest of your floor space for your home workout, or for more home gym equipment. Having more space for gym activities allows you to perform your workouts easier—and safer.
Better Organization
One of the easiest ways to declutter your home gym space is to get everything off the floor. Proper storage will help you keep track of where everything is in your gym. Along with this, proper organization will be safer; fewer things will be lying around to accidentally trip over. Home gyms are generally not too dangerous, but with a messy enough gym space, it can be!
Ease of Access
Using the right home gym storage for dumbbells or weight plates will make them easy and convenient to grab for workouts. Think about having a stack of 20 bumper plates in the corner of the gym, and the pair of bumpers you have to grab is at the very bottom. That’s going to be a hassle moving the other 18 plates to get to your other plates.
Now imagine those same 20 plates are on a mass storage system. All you have to do is grab the plates you want. Home gym storage not only provides ways to save space, but it also does it smartly, to where grabbing your equipment is easy.
What to Look for in Home Gym Storage
If you’re looking for ways to improve the storage of your home gym, there are a few things to consider before making that first purchase.
What Are You Storing?
Probably the most important thought is to know exactly what you are looking to store. There are storage systems and units designed for very specific pieces of gym equipment:
- Dumbbells: If you are looking for dumbbell storage, a dumbbell rack with an angled shelf is the simplest solution.
- Kettlebells: A flat shelf is best for kettlebells, leaving them accessible and easy to grab.
- Weight Plates: Weight plates can be stored in a variety of ways, but most common solutions are a weight plate tree or a horizontal plate rack. Some of the best squat racks provide weight horns for additional storage as well.
- Barbells: Barbells can be stored horizontally on wall-mounted racks or vertically in barbell holders.
- A combination of free weights: For something that can cover all of these free weights, you can look at a mass storage system, which has customizable shelving to provide proper storage for dumbbells, kettlebells, bumper plates, and medicine balls. Additionally, many have barbell storage add-ons to store some of your barbells, too.
- Resistance bands and accessories: For lighter accessories like resistance bands and hip circles, pegboard is a great space-saving solution.
In a case where you are wanting storage for bins and odd objects as well, a shelving unit can be a good solution.
Footprint
Whatever storage solution you decide on has to make sense for your garage gym’s space. Not every storage system can fit into your gym the same way. If you are working with limited space, then perhaps a giant mass storage system is not the way to go. A better option might be a compact, tall shelf. Additionally, your gym’s ceiling height might force you to use a shorter rack or shelving unit.
Weight Capacity
If you are looking for something to hold a lot of weights, then the unit’s weight capacity is something to consider. Mass storage systems are made to hold weight, and specifically will hold heavy items common in gyms, like exercise balls, dumbbells, and weight plates. If you have heavy, odd objects, a heavy-duty shelf might be a better option. Furthermore, if you’re not looking to store anything too heavy, then a budget-friendly shelf with a moderate weight capacity might work.
